2025 Community Fund Awards
Celebrating Our 2025 Community Fund Awards
We were proud to host our 2025 Community Fund Awards on Thursday, 10th April. The event brought over 60 community volunteers to our head office in Mountmellick to celebrate their continued contributions to community life. Our Community Fund is designed to support groups across our common bond, which includes Rathangan, Mountmellick, Clonaslee and Rosenallis. This year, we were delighted to provide funding to over 40 organisations working across sporting, social and cultural sectors.
The event ran from 7pm to 8pm and provided an opportunity for representatives of these groups to connect, enjoy some light refreshments, and get some photos taken to mark the occasion. This year also marked an important development in our funding process: for the first time, applications were managed fully online. This allowed us to streamline how groups apply and how our board assesses requests, making it easier for everyone involved.
As officially approved by our members at our most recent AGM, the Community Fund will now reopen for applications annually in January or February. We hope this provides greater clarity and predictability for groups planning their year ahead. From sports clubs and youth organisations to local cultural groups, tidy towns initiatives and community services, each of the 40+ supported groups plays an essential role in keeping our local areas vibrant, inclusive and active.
We’d like to thank every volunteer and representative who took time out of their evening to join us. We were genuinely inspired by the passion and dedication on display. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates about future funding rounds, stories from supported groups, and snapshots from this year’s awards evening. If you have questions about the Community Fund or how your group might apply in the future, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
