This pilot programme is set to deliver exclusive offers for MMCU members and will be running from January to the end of March 2025.

These exclusive benefits aim to make wedding planning a little more special and affordable for members while supporting local businesses within the community. 

A Commitment to Supporting Local Businesses  

Danielle Fitzsimons, Head of Marketing at MMCU, emphasised the importance of fostering strong ties within the local business community. “There has always been a strong desire within the credit union community to support local businesses,” she said. “This Partnership Programme is one we hope to see running long-term for the mutual benefit of the credit union, its members, and the businesses serving our common bond. By collaborating with trusted local names like Flowers by Yvonne, House of Gowns, and Stephanie's Touch Beauty Salon, we’re not just supporting businesses—we’re enriching our members’ experiences.” 

While MMCU currently has an exclusive offer with AXA on home and car insurance for members, this is the first time the credit union has extended such an initiative to the wider business community.  

“In the past, limited resources and time meant we couldn’t explore partnerships like this,” Danielle continued. “But now, with this pilot programme, we hope to be able to offer a range of  permanent rotating benefits for our members. We also invite and encourage other local businesses to join the programme, offering their own unique promotions and benefiting from reciprocal support and promotion.”
