Small Seeds, Big Change: Sustainability & Biodiversity Day in our branches 🌻

Mountmellick Credit Union recently welcomed members and visitors to our branches for a successful Sustainability & Biodiversity Day ♻️

As part of the initiative, free wildflower seed packs were given away to encourage members to promote biodiversity and take small environmental actions within their local communities.

The event highlighted how simple steps, such as planting wildflowers, can make a meaningful impact in supporting bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators.

Visitors who called into the branches  had the opportunity to collect their seed packs from the teller area while also learning more about sustainability through a selection of helpful tips, fun facts, and biodiversity information displayed throughout the branch. The event encouraged everyone to consider small, practical ways they could contribute to creating a greener and healthier environment.

Supporting Biodiversity in Our Communities 🌱

The day focused on raising awareness about the importance of biodiversity and how communities can work together to support local ecosystems. By planting wildflowers and creating pollinator-friendly spaces, members were encouraged to play their part in protecting nature for future generations.
